About Komodular
Komodular is about tangible analog electronics. I design modules with discrete transistors, spacious tactile layouts, and honest analog physics that reward playing by hand.
About Komodular
Komodular is an independent instrument workshop based in Białystok, Poland, founded by engineer and designer Yauhen Zadziarkouski.
While modern synthesis offers endless clean possibilities, Komodular celebrates the tactile beauty and living character of discrete analog hardware - crafted with premium components, hands-on ergonomics, and rich harmonic saturation.
The Philosophy: Raw Waves, No Digital Apologies
Electronic instruments shouldn’t sound clinical. The design philosophy of Komodular is rooted in classic discrete circuitry - matched transistor pairs, discrete wave-shapers, and optocoupler dynamics inspired by the avant-garde British and West-Coast traditions.
Every circuit is designed from scratch on the breadboard (sometimes on the stripboard), tuned by ear through my trusty Fostex T50RP headphones, and refined until it feels musical across its entire control range. Just honest discrete transistors, purposeful saturation, and pure analog physics - no shortcuts.
Handcrafted in Small Batches
Every single instrument is hand-soldered, mechanically tuned, calibrated against a precision oscilloscope, and thermally burn-in tested for 24 hours in my workshop before it leaves for your rack.
If a knob turns on a Komodular panel, it does so with deliberate resistance. If a wave oscillates, it carries genuine harmonic grit.
